As a Prenatal Account Executive based in South Tampa, you will be a field sales professional responsible for driving adoption of UNITY Fetal Risk Screen—the first and only single-gene NIPT supported carrier and aneuploidy screen—among OBGYN clinics, maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) practices, and genetic counselors in your territory. You will serve as a key bridge between the company and healthcare providers, with significant influence over how the test is communicated to physicians and patients and how it evolves to meet market needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive utilization of UNITY Fetal Risk Screen through direct field sales to individual OBGYNs, MFMs, and genetic counselors
- Identify, develop, and manage relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals
- Prospect and cultivate new business while maintaining key relationships
- Identify commercial growth opportunities within your geography, including hospital systems and Federally Qualified Health Centers
- Create and execute a strategic business plan to accelerate utilization in your region
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through closing
- Attend local tradeshows, industry conferences, and networking events
- Deliver clinical information to both external clients and internal teams
You will report to a Regional Manager - Prenatal and work independently with strong internal drive to succeed in a startup-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of outside field sales experience in healthcare, directly calling on providers in a specified geographic territory
- Demonstrated successful sales track record with understanding of buyer/decision-maker types; strong selling, listening, and presentation skills; ability to assess and respond to customer needs (national sales awards a plus)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to present effectively to internal and external customers
- Effective time management with demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize opportunities
- Exceptionally bright, flexible, self-motivated, and results-oriented with strong interpersonal and analytical skills; ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Must act with urgency and focus on closing business
- Ability to assess needs of medical professionals and staff with focus on consultative sales, logistics coordination, and problem-solving
- Strong desire to work in a startup environment; must work independently
- Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information
- Demonstrated values and ethics supporting BillionToOne's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct
- Ability to use discretion and professionalism when handling patient and physician information and documentation
