AnySignal is developing next-generation RF products and services for space and defense missions. As a Power Electronics Engineer on the hardware team, you will own the design, manufacture, and test of power circuitry for highly integrated PCBAs serving space customers. You'll work with a small, multidisciplinary team of software, RF hardware, and FPGA engineers to shepherd products from initial design through vehicle integration, taking a full-stack approach to building robust space communication systems. Key responsibilities include designing, analyzing, and testing DC-DC power converters for space applications; conducting electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and developing requirements; defining and performing electrical power system verification testing and analysis; and collaborating with hardware, software, and production engineers to create new power electronics hardware. You'll need a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related STEM discipline, plus 3+ years of professional experience designing power circuitry. Proficiency in schematic capture and layout using Altium Designer or similar tools is required, along with demonstrated experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics, and designing and debugging power converters. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field; familiarity with FMEA; experience designing power trees with complex sequencing; hands-on impedance and loop-gain measurement; voltage and current mode control and compensation design; strong knowledge of DC-DC topologies and ability to select optimal architectures; familiarity with topologies such as push-pull, buck, boost, buck-boost, forward, half-bridge, full-bridge, LLC resonant, and phase-shifted full-bridge converters; and experience with spacecraft electrical power systems. Note: Export control compliance required; applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or eligible to obtain necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
