Octopus Energy Generation (OEGEN) is a leader in sourcing, investing in, and managing utility-scale renewable energy assets globally, with a portfolio exceeding £8 billion. The Development Portfolio Management Team is seeking a Portfolio Associate/Senior Associate to support the active management of renewable energy development investments.
In this role, you will work on the financial and investment side of managing a portfolio of renewable energy development platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include financial modelling, investment appraisal, portfolio performance analysis, and capital allocation. You will prepare high-quality materials for investment committees, boards, and other decision-making forums.
You will collaborate across the Portfolio team, internal specialist functions, and portfolio company management teams to assess development progress, funding requirements, project economics, valuations, and material risks. Initially, the role will focus on analytical and investment work across multiple platforms rather than independent ownership of individual portfolio companies. Responsibility will increase over time as you develop deeper knowledge of the portfolio and demonstrate strong investment judgement.
