Salary: USD 250,400 - 465,100 / annual
Veeam is the Data and AI Trust Company, specializing in data resilience and data security posture management. The Platform Engineering team provides a secure, reliable, and easy-to-use platform enabling teams to build, test, deploy, and monitor the Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) product.
In this role, you will write and maintain code to automate public cloud infrastructure and the Internal Developer Platform. You'll document system design, configurations, processes, and decisions to support an async, distributed team culture. You'll collaborate with remote engineers to build the VDC platform using a modern technology stack based on containers, serverless infrastructure, and public cloud services. You'll also participate in on-call rotation for product operations.
Key technologies include Kubernetes, Azure AKS, AWS EKS, Helm, Docker, Terraform, Golang, Bash, and Git.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in production operations for a SaaS or cloud service provider
- Development skills in a high-level programming language like TypeScript or Python
- Experience automating infrastructure through code using Pulumi or Terraform
- Experience with GitHub Actions
- Breadth and depth of public cloud services experience
- Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products
- Understanding of operational excellence principles in a SaaS environment
- Understanding and experience implementing secure design principles in the cloud
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and implement pragmatically
- Strong bias toward action and direct, frequent communication
- University degree in a technical field
