Thunes is seeking a Principal-level People Products & AI Automation Lead to own and evolve the company's global HR technology ecosystem. This senior individual contributor role sits at the intersection of HR operations, advanced analytics, automation, and AI, with the flexibility to be based in either Barcelona or Singapore.
You will own the day-to-day management and optimization of core HR systems, particularly HiBob (HRIS) and Greenhouse (ATS), ensuring system hygiene, deep integrations, and operational excellence. You will architect and scale the People team's automation and AI agent infrastructure, managing the AI budget and pioneering compliant, intentional use of large language models within HR workflows.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining People metrics across the full employee lifecycle, transforming complex datasets into clear, self-service dashboards for leadership and the board. You will lead end-to-end system integrations, custom enhancements, and new tool rollouts from requirements through adoption. Acting as an internal product owner, you will translate ambiguous team needs into technical blueprints, manage the systems backlog, and prioritize ruthlessly for business impact.
You will work closely with People Services, People Business Partners, and IT to eliminate operational friction by mapping pain points and proactively automating manual, high-effort processes such as onboarding, offboarding, compliance checks, and approval chains. You will establish and maintain world-class data governance standards across all platforms, ensuring data integrity, access controls, and audit trails.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of HR technology and HRIS management experience with deep hands-on mastery of HiBob. You must have proven expertise building workflow automations using low-code/no-code platforms (Workato, Zapier, n8n, Power Automate) and executing custom integrations via REST APIs. Strong data modeling and BI skills are essential, including experience with Power BI and dbt. You should have practical experience applying AI and LLMs to business processes, understanding where AI adds value and how to design human-in-the-loop guardrails. Exceptional communication skills, senior stakeholder management, and a proactive, execution-oriented mindset are critical.
