Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at massive scale. The company is in rapid growth mode and building its people function from scratch to support 10x expansion globally. As People Partner, Immigration, you will be a strategic HR business partner serving client organizations across the company while owning Fluidstack's entire immigration and visa sponsorship program. This is a high-impact role combining HRBP responsibilities with specialized immigration expertise. Key responsibilities: - Serve as the primary people partner for assigned client organizations, advising managers on hiring, performance management, organizational structure, and sensitive personnel matters - Own the full immigration and visa sponsorship program, including case strategy, filing coordination with outside counsel, and management of H-1B, O-1, L-1, PERM, and other visa categories for both new hires and existing employees - Manage employee relations end-to-end: investigate sensitive cases, resolve disputes, and document decisions with sound judgment and speed - Design and execute people rhythms (onboarding, performance reviews, engagement surveys, offboarding) that scale with rapid growth - Coach and develop managers, including first-time leaders, into effective leaders their teams would choose to work with again Fluidstack operates with radical autonomy, first-principles thinking, and extreme urgency. You will be expected to move at operating speed—delivering same-day answers rather than waiting for policy cycles—and to own scope end-to-end without requiring permission. REQUIREMENTS: - Direct ownership of an employer-sponsored immigration program, including hands-on management of H-1B, O-1, L-1, or PERM cases; ability to manage outside counsel rather than simply routing cases to them - Proven experience as an HRBP or people partner through rapid scaling; client leaders would hire you again - Track record running sensitive employee relations cases end-to-end with investigations that withstand scrutiny - Ability to operate at high speed with same-day decision-making - Strong knowledge of employment law; knowing when to escalate to counsel - Bonus qualifications: global mobility experience beyond the US, experience with technical or industrial client groups, background in high-growth startups
