Vitable Health is building a health benefits platform designed to make quality healthcare accessible to the 85+ million uninsured and underinsured Americans. This People Ops Generalist role is the operational backbone of the HR function at a fast-growing, mission-driven healthtech startup. You will own the complete employee lifecycle: end-to-end onboarding (offer letters, orientation scheduling, Rippling setup, equipment shipping) and offboarding (termination processing, access deprovisioning, COBRA notices, separation paperwork). You'll maintain accurate employee records in Rippling as addresses, managers, and employment statuses change, troubleshoot access issues, and serve as the first point of contact for employee support—fielding benefits questions, PTO requests, equity access, verification requests, and daily HR inquiries. You'll route complex issues to specialists while handling what falls within your scope. Additional responsibilities include semi-monthly payroll prep support, open enrollment logistics, leave tracking coordination with administration partners, mail triage, and EOR/contractor onboarding. This is a high-volume, detail-intensive role where you'll manage recurring work streams without dropping items and develop good instincts for prioritization when everything feels urgent. Vitable is a small, passionate team moving fast to solve a genuine problem in healthcare access. The company offers 100% Silver Plan medical coverage, dental and vision, Vitable Primary Care membership, 401(k), life insurance, unlimited PTO, competitive equity, and a MacBook plus home office stipend. The role is hybrid (~3 days/week onsite) and requires being based in the greater Philadelphia area. REQUIREMENTS: - 1–3 years of experience in HR, people operations, or another detail-heavy operations role - Experience with an HRIS system (Rippling preferred but not required) - Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume recurring work without letting things slip - Strong instincts for prioritization when multiple urgent items compete - Discretion with sensitive employee information - Comfort navigating ambiguity and finding answers independently - Must be based in greater Philadelphia area and able to work onsite ~3 days/week
