This People Operations role owns the systems and processes supporting all employees throughout their lifecycle at WorkOS. You will be responsible for payroll operations across US and international employees and contractors, managing employee benefits and annual renewals, administering compensation programs and merit cycles, and maintaining HRIS data integrity.
Key responsibilities include: end-to-end payroll and benefits management; compensation program administration including merit cycles, promotions, and market benchmarking; preparation of employment agreements and compensation documentation; new hire onboarding and offboarding operations; HRIS system maintenance and workflow improvements; partnership with Finance on headcount planning and payroll reconciliation; compliance support across employment law, audits, and leaves; and building scalable processes to support rapid growth.
You will partner closely with Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and managers across the company to ensure every operational touchpoint is thoughtful, accurate, and efficient. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of People Operations or HR experience at high-growth startups, with hands-on experience owning payroll and benefits end-to-end. You should be comfortable managing compensation cycles, experienced with HRIS and payroll platforms like Rippling, detail-oriented, and passionate about building processes that remove friction and complexity for employees.
