KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, is a leading global travel search engine operating a portfolio of brands including momondo, Cheapflights, and HotelsCombined. The People Operations team is central to delivering a consistent, high-quality employee experience across the organization. As a People Operations Specialist, you will support employees and managers throughout the full employment lifecycle with a focus on EMEA operations. You'll be the first point of contact for employee and manager requests, resolving cases through ticketing systems using team documentation and SOPs, and escalating complex matters appropriately. Key responsibilities include processing employee lifecycle events in Workday across multiple countries (hires, onboarding, offboarding, role changes, background checks, absences), supporting global mobility and immigration needs by partnering with internal and external teams, and administering benefits, parental leave, and statutory leave processes. You'll maintain accurate, audit-ready employee records in Workday and other People systems, monitor employment legislation and regulatory developments to identify impacts on operations, and support payroll readiness globally. You'll leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and quality of daily work, identify workflow streamlining opportunities, and support Workday configuration and reporting including building standard reports, testing configuration changes, and maintaining documentation. You'll contribute to identifying process gaps, improving consistency and employee experience, and maintaining SOPs and operational guidance. This role involves collaboration with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, People Systems, and other business teams on global People Operations projects. Required experience includes approximately 2 years in People Operations, HR Operations, or similar HR roles with exposure to multi-country employee bases. Familiarity with Workday or comparable HRIS systems is helpful, particularly with reporting, testing, or configuration experience. Working knowledge of EMEA employment practices, especially UK, Germany, or Lithuania, is important, along with genuine curiosity about other jurisdictions. You should have compliance awareness and comfort identifying escalation needs, clear written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities to manage multiple shifting priorities, and collaborative strengths working across distributed global teams. The role requires commuting to the London office at least 3 times per week. KAYAK offers comprehensive benefits including up to 20 days remote work annually, mental health support (SpringHealth therapy, Headspace subscription), company-wide recharge week, no-meeting Fridays, paid parental leave, paid volunteer time, development dollars, leadership development, 5 weeks paid vacation plus birthday day off, private health and dental insurance, income protection, life assurance, pension contributions, and various wellness perks.
