You will join the 8-person People team as People Operations Specialist, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer. This is a hands-on role with significant room to build and innovate. You'll own the full employee lifecycle across EMEA and US operations, taking over from a colleague transitioning to an HRBP role.
Key responsibilities:
**Personnel Administration**: Manage contracts, onboarding paperwork, medical coordination, health insurance, leave tracking, and compliance. Become the in-house expert on Payfit, Deel, and Lucca HRIS.
**Payroll**: Prepare and verify monthly payroll inputs for France and international employees. Maintain data consistency across all HR tools.
**Onboarding & Employee Experience**: Own the complete onboarding journey from preboarding through ramp-up. Prepare welcome materials, run onboarding sessions, and translate new hire feedback into process improvements.
**HR Tools & Automation**: Streamline processes, automate recurring workflows (onboarding, reminders, approvals), and pilot AI solutions to save team time.
**HR Projects**: Contribute to benefits reviews, compliance initiatives, HRIS improvements, and work council matters.
Required qualifications: Minimum 2 years HR operations experience in fast-paced environments, including French payroll (Payfit), HRIS administration (Lucca), and EOR platforms (Deel). Fluency in English and French. Detail-oriented, organized, able to juggle multiple priorities. Discretion with confidential information and genuine warmth with people. High initiative—you spot and fix problems rather than wait to be asked.
Desirable skills: Understanding of tech startup dynamics and headcount growth, spreadsheet proficiency (pivot tables, nested formulas), hands-on experience with AI/automation tools (Dust, Claude, n8n).
The role differs from traditional People Ops in its emphasis on innovation. Leadership views People Ops as the first impression new employees have and the most visible when it breaks. You'll have tools and autonomy to redesign workflows rather than simply maintain existing processes. Career progression includes evolution to senior roles, learning US operations, and potential transition to HRBP or L&D after 2-3 years.
Compensation includes BSPCE equity, lunch vouchers (Swile), sponsored wellness (Gymlib), non-charged health insurance for children, €300 home office budget, annual holiday allowance, and €4,000 referral bonus.
