Amplitude is a leading AI analytics platform serving over 4,700 customers including Atlassian, Burger King, NBCUniversal, and Square. The People Operations Specialist role is based in London and supports the growing team across the UK, EMEA, and APJ regions.
You will own day-to-day employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including new hires, job changes, and departures across the UK, EMEA, and APJ populations. You'll maintain accurate, audit-ready employee data and serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager questions through the ticketing system, resolving routine requests and escalating complex issues appropriately.
Key responsibilities include coordinating onboarding and offboarding logistics (background checks, new hire setup), supporting international benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with local employment standards across multiple regions. You'll coordinate EMEA/APJ payroll with external providers and internal partners, navigate local employment law nuances across the Netherlands, France, the UK, and other markets, and manage immigration and visa work including visa sponsorship and travel/offsite visa processing.
You'll also help document and improve People Operations processes and knowledge bases, partner with Talent Acquisition on offer letters and background checks, and leverage AI tools to work smarter and bring automation into everyday workflows.
The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience in a People, HR, or operations support role, preferably in fast-paced tech companies. You should be very comfortable using AI in daily work and excited to find new applications for it. Strong familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday preferred), background check processes, and international benefits programs is essential. You'll need the right to work in the UK, hands-on HRIS experience, comfort with AI tools and spreadsheets, and clear written communication skills.
