Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 / annual

Blank Street is a fast-growing food and beverage brand on a mission to become the defining brand of its generation. The People Operations Partner, Field role is a strategic and hands-on position supporting the company's field organization across multiple markets during a period of growth. You will serve as a trusted people partner to General Managers, Shift Leads, and Operations Managers across multiple store locations. This is a highly field-facing role requiring regular time spent in stores and across supported markets. You will report to the HRBP Manager and work from the Brooklyn, NY office with frequent travel to field locations. Key Responsibilities: Hiring & Onboarding: Partner with Talent Acquisition and Operations Managers on hiring strategy, interview calibration, and workforce planning. Assess talent quality and team fit, ensure smooth onboarding from offer acceptance through ramp-up, identify staffing gaps and risks, and translate operational priorities into people strategies. Development & Coaching: Coach GMs, Shift Leads, and Operations Managers on performance management, accountability, feedback, and team dynamics. Drive execution of people programs including performance coaching frameworks and engagement action planning. Support internal promotions, succession planning, and leadership development. Help leaders navigate difficult conversations with confidence, fairness, and consistency. Retention & Employee Relations: Lead employee relations matters and investigations from intake through resolution with strong documentation and professionalism. Identify trends in turnover, attendance, engagement, and performance. Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers, balancing employee experience with business needs. Build relationships across markets to maintain visibility into team health and morale. Business Protection & Compliance: Partner cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Training, Finance, and Operations. Advise field leaders on people policies, compliance, documentation, and risk. Use people data and operational trends to identify risks and support business decision-making. Ensure consistent application of people practices across markets. Requirements: - 4+ years of HR or People Ops experience supporting frontline, hourly, or field-based teams - Experience in food & beverage, hospitality, retail, or high-volume customer-facing environment preferred - Working knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements - Demonstrated experience coaching managers and partnering with leaders on employee relations, performance, and team challenges - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in high-volume environments - Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills across multiple workstreams - Comfortable using HR systems and tools (HRIS, ATS, Google Suite) - Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment - Ability to regularly travel to stores and across supported markets - Must be based in NYC with flexibility to travel throughout the market
