Everlane is seeking a People Operations Manager to own and evolve core People infrastructure supporting both corporate and retail teams in their Los Angeles Arts District office. This full-time role reports to the VP of People and is central to delivering an exceptional employee experience across the organization.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the complete employee lifecycle—onboarding, offboarding, performance management, internal mobility, and employee records management. You will partner with the VP of People on benefits administration, leaves of absence, and open enrollment processes. A critical focus is ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution across compensation, benefits, and employee data systems.
You will serve as a key owner of Everlane's HRIS and People systems, including UKG, ADP, and Zendesk. This involves maintaining clean, reliable people data and workflows, supporting audits, identifying system gaps, and driving continuous improvements across processes and policies.
Compliance and risk management are core to the role. You will ensure adherence to all employment laws and regulations—including EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, DOL, Workers' Compensation, and health & safety requirements—while proactively identifying and resolving compliance risks in partnership with Legal, Payroll, and Finance.
You will provide guidance and coaching to team members and leaders on policies and people programs, support managers with employee lifecycle questions and performance processes, and build strong relationships across the organization. Cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Payroll, IT, and Retail Operations is essential to ensure people processes are aligned, efficient, and scalable for a modern, retail-driven organization.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of People Operations, HR Operations, or HR Analytics experience, with strong hands-on expertise in HRIS and People systems. Experience supporting retail or hourly, multi-location workforces is highly valued. You combine a people-first mindset with strong operational rigor, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
