You will lead the People Operations function with a primary focus on establishing best-in-class operations in the Bengaluru hub while supporting the company's global footprint (US, EU, UK, UAE). This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the COO, and you will be the most senior people ops person on the ground in Bangalore in the near term.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end people operations for the Bangalore hub; designing and implementing structured onboarding and offboarding programs across geographies; managing HRIS (Rippling) rollout and administration for India with focus on data integrity and compliance; building employment compliance frameworks for India covering labor law, benefits, leave policies, and statutory requirements; developing and operationalizing performance management processes including review cycles and calibration support; partnering with legal and finance on employment matters such as contractor-to-employee conversions and entity setup; serving as the primary point person for employee relations issues in Bangalore; and building foundational people analytics including headcount tracking, attrition analysis, and engagement surveys.
You should have 10+ years of experience in people operations or HR at high-growth technology companies, with deep expertise in India employment law and HR compliance. You must have a track record of building people ops processes from early stage—designing onboarding, writing policies, and building frameworks rather than maintaining existing ones. Experience with HRIS implementation (Rippling preferred), strong async communication skills, and ability to operate with high autonomy are essential. Experience supporting multi-country operations, fintech/financial services background, PEO/EOR arrangements, and people analytics expertise are strong differentiators.
