As People Operations Generalist, you will serve as the on-the-ground HR point of contact for a fulfillment center location. You'll be the primary employee advocate, handling day-to-day HR functions including background checks, new hire orientation, training oversight, and employee relations. You'll work closely with the central People team to ensure consistent culture and employee experience across facilities while adapting to the dynamic needs of a scaling startup.
Key responsibilities include: serving as the main HR contact for the facility, organizing and executing people initiatives in partnership with the central team, gauging employee engagement and driving improvement opportunities, championing workplace culture and values, analyzing people data to identify trends and proactive solutions, developing strong relationships with warehouse leadership, coaching managers on conflict resolution and policy interpretation, and advising on best practices for employee performance and legal compliance.
You'll be instrumental in creating a positive, engaging employee experience that sets Stord apart, particularly for hourly warehouse associates. The role requires balancing day-to-day operational HR tasks with strategic initiatives to continuously improve the people experience and support business objectives.
