This People Operations Generalist role provides comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle, with primary focus on the Americas region (US, Brazil, Canada) while supporting global initiatives. The position serves as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries through a ticketing system, managing confidentiality and delivering excellent employee experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing global HR onboarding and offboarding processes, coordinating payroll, benefits, and work authorization compliance
- Administering leave of absence management using Cocoon (US) and providing leave support for Canada and Brazil employees
- Managing employee data in the global HRIS system (UKG/Ultipro experience preferred)
- Supporting benefits administration and partnering with international benefits providers
- Administering compliance-related training globally
- Supporting bi-annual merit and promotion cycles
- Managing employee engagement surveys and company-wide people programs
- Serving as backup for EMEA/APAC onboarding, offboarding, and benefits questions
- Collaborating with the broader People Operations team to implement and improve processes
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of HR Generalist/Operations experience in fast-paced tech environments, and PHR or aPHR certification (or willingness to obtain within 18 months). Experience with global HR systems, US leave administration, and ticketing systems is preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, analytical thinking, and a customer-focused, get-it-done attitude with discretion and professionalism.
