Extreme Reach, a global leader in advertising operations technology, is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join their People team in Burbank. This is a high-autonomy, strategic role that combines deep HR partnership with operational execution. You will serve as a trusted advisor to key business leaders, owning the full employee lifecycle and people strategy for assigned client groups. The role requires balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on operational responsibilities. Strategic responsibilities include: building cross-functional relationships with business unit leaders to align talent strategies with operational goals; independently identifying and solving organizational bottlenecks, interpersonal challenges, and process gaps; partnering with department leadership and Finance on workforce planning and headcount forecasting; and leading change management initiatives with coaching and communication support. Operational responsibilities include: managing day-to-day HR workflows (onboarding, offboarding, status changes, system updates); maintaining HRIS data integrity and generating routine reports; serving as primary contact for employee and manager inquiries on policies, benefits, and leave administration; overseeing local office operations, facilities, vendor relationships, and workplace safety; and leading Cal/OSHA compliance including the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and Workplace Violence Prevention Plan. Talent management includes: driving performance management frameworks and OKR/KPI goal setting; identifying high-potential talent and designing development strategies; assisting with succession planning; and analyzing employee feedback to implement retention and engagement strategies. Employee relations responsibilities include: providing objective coaching and independently investigating complex ER issues, performance plans, and policy interpretations; ensuring compliance with California Labor Code, FEHA, and wage-and-hour laws; and maintaining best practices across regions. You'll need 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years in a dedicated HRBP or strategic People Partner role. Deep knowledge of California labor laws, wage-and-hour compliance, FEHA guidelines, and Cal/OSHA is essential. You should have a proven track record of driving projects independently from ambiguity to execution with minimal supervision, and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex problems and implement pragmatic solutions.
