Extreme Reach, a global leader in advertising operations technology, is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join their People team in Toronto. This is a high-autonomy role combining strategic HR partnership with operational execution.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to key business leaders, owning the full employee lifecycle and people strategy for assigned client groups. The role balances strategic initiatives with hands-on operational responsibilities, requiring someone who can move fluidly between boardroom-level workforce planning and day-to-day HR administration.
Strategic responsibilities include: building deep relationships with business unit leaders to align talent strategies with operational goals; independently diagnosing organizational bottlenecks and developing scalable solutions; partnering with Finance on headcount forecasting and workforce planning; leading change management initiatives with coaching and communication support; driving performance management frameworks and OKRs; identifying high-potential talent and designing development/succession strategies; and analyzing employee feedback to implement retention strategies.
Operational responsibilities include: managing the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, status changes, HRIS updates); maintaining data integrity in HR systems and generating routine reports; serving as primary contact for employee and manager inquiries on policies, benefits, and leave; overseeing local office operations, vendor relationships, facilities, and space planning; ensuring workplace health and safety compliance under Ontario OHSA, including JHSC coordination; and investigating complex employee relations issues.
You will also ensure employment practices comply with Ontario Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, PIPEDA, and AODA standards.
Required: 3–5 years progressive HR experience with at least 2 years in a dedicated HRBP or strategic People Partner role. You must demonstrate a track record of driving projects independently from ambiguity to execution with minimal supervision, strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
