Oyster is a global employment platform enabling companies to hire, pay, and support talent anywhere in the world. This role is part of Oyster's in-house payroll operations team, focused on delivering accurate, compliant Dutch payroll processing at scale.
You will own a defined stream of native Dutch payroll cycles, processing employee master data changes (new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, variable pay, benefits, absences, garnishments) and executing statutory filings with precision. Core responsibilities include running pre- and post-payroll validations each cycle, maintaining accuracy through careful quality checks, and handling all Dutch statutory requirements: monthly loonaangifte filings to the Belastingdienst, UWV wage declarations, annual jaarloonopgaaf submissions, and Ziektewet/WAZO reimbursement claims.
You'll work within defined AFAS procedures, support the maintenance and testing of the in-house payroll system, and manage assigned client payroll tickets with a customer-first approach. The role includes responsibility for payroll journals, GL mappings, data integrity checks, and preparation of statutory and ad-hoc reports including EU Pay Transparency Directive compliance and Ondernemingsraad documentation.
This is an opportunity to build deep expertise in Dutch payroll law (Loonheffingenrecht, Socialezekerheidsrecht, Arbeidsrecht, CAO) while contributing to a payroll function still taking shape at a rapidly growing, B Corp-certified global employment platform. You'll support internal and external audits, maintain SOPs, and help document the team's living knowledge base.
Oyster is distributed across 60+ countries, ranked #10 on TIME/Statista's 2026 list of America's Top WorkTech Companies, and recognized as a G2 Leader in Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance.
