The Payroll Specialist Lead – Poland is a critical individual contributor role within Remote's EOR and Payroll Operations Team, responsible for delivering accurate, compliant payroll operations for assigned countries while contributing to the improvement and scalability of global payroll processes.
You will own end-to-end payroll execution for Poland and assigned jurisdictions, ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with country-specific regulations and statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include validating payroll inputs, executing payroll calculations, managing post-payroll processes, and serving as the subject matter expert on Polish payroll requirements. You will partner with cross-functional teams on system enhancements, statutory updates, and operational improvements, and actively contribute to the adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools that improve payroll operational efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
This role is suited for a mid-to-senior career payroll operations professional with deep hands-on experience running payroll in complex, multi-country environments. You should be comfortable operating in globally distributed, asynchronous teams, demonstrate strong analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving skills, and take ownership of outcomes while raising risks early. Strong written and oral communication in English is essential, with additional languages a plus. Experience with payroll tools, data analysis platforms, and remote/distributed team environments is valued.
