Gong is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for 550+ employees in Israel. This role owns end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with Israeli labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Key responsibilities include managing payroll operations for a large Israeli workforce, overseeing payroll reporting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and maintaining payroll data integrity across the employee lifecycle. You will drive continuous improvements to payroll processes and systems while partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, Equity, and external payroll consultants. You will identify payroll risks, proactively resolve discrepancies, and implement scalable solutions that improve accuracy and efficiency. The role involves supporting complex payroll scenarios including equity compensation, pension plans, reserve-duty pay, global payroll processes, multi-currency considerations, and cross-border tax implications. Required qualifications include 5+ years of payroll management experience in a global high-tech environment supporting 300–600 employees, with deep expertise in Israeli payroll, labor laws, tax regulations, National Insurance, reserve-duty payments, pension plans, and equity compensation. Hands-on experience with Hilan (including Ofek and Hilnet), NetSuite ERP, and payroll journal entries is essential. Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and fluency in both Hebrew and English are required. Gong operates a flexible hybrid work model, combining office, remote, and on-the-go work arrangements.
