CarOnSale is an AI-powered B2B platform for used car trading across Europe, connecting over 40,000 buyers from 20+ countries with exclusive inventory. The company operates as an integrated operating system for the automotive industry, combining software, pricing intelligence, logistics, and financing. You will own daily payment reconciliation and allocation across incoming payments, outflows, and refunds in a fully digital environment, ensuring smooth invoicing in accounts payable and receivable. You'll manage the dunning process and receivables management, including collection portfolios, and resolve complex payment discrepancies directly with customers via email. You serve as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders on payment system improvements, translating operational insights back into product enhancements. You'll bridge the payments operations team and finance department, ensuring effective collaboration and information exchange. Key responsibilities include: daily payment verification and posting; dunning and collections management; identifying and resolving payment system bottlenecks; cross-functional coordination with product and finance teams; and leveraging AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in daily workflows. You bring completed training in finance or equivalent qualification, hands-on accounting experience (preferably AP/AR), practical knowledge of digital payment service providers, and strong attention to detail. You're fluent in German (C1 level) and comfortable with AI-assisted workflows. Bonus: payments or collections background, dunning experience, and English proficiency. The role is hybrid (3 days office, 2 days remote in Berlin Schöneberg) with 10 additional work-from-anywhere days annually.
