Generalist is building embodied foundation models and general intelligence for the physical world, focusing on robot dexterity and enabling machines to intelligently interact with physical environments. The company combines large-scale AI and robotics, with a founding team from OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Boston Dynamics.
As Partnerships Lead, you will own and deepen relationships with Generalist's most important partners, serving as the primary point of contact across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders. You'll evaluate new and existing partnership opportunities, understanding partner priorities and identifying concrete collaboration opportunities.
Key responsibilities include developing deep technical fluency with Generalist's models and technology to credibly engage with partner teams and identify compelling applications. You'll drive complex partner initiatives end-to-end, aligning stakeholders across organizations, defining workplans and milestones, resolving blockers, and maintaining momentum. You'll communicate clearly with senior internal and external stakeholders, synthesizing technical and business topics into actionable updates and recommendations.
You'll work closely with ML/engineering, product, and leadership teams to represent partner needs internally and translate external learnings into product and company action. Travel to partner sites and industry events is expected.
The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in partnerships, business development, product/program leadership, strategy & operations, or similar high-ownership environments. You should demonstrate exceptional organizational and project management skills, managing multiple high-stakes workstreams simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly to diverse audiences. You'll need strong technical curiosity, excellent judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-changing environment.
