Causa Prima is seeking a Partnerships Engineer to build and scale their partner channel from the ground up as a core part of their go-to-market strategy. This role focuses on transforming consultancies, platforms, and supplier networks into a repeatable source of enterprise pipeline for the CFO office and a key revenue driver. In this role, you will: - Develop and present a partner thesis within your first six weeks, defining which partner archetypes matter most (AP and ERP ecosystem platforms, hyperscalers, Big Four advisory firms, strategy consultants, fintech and banking distribution, capital partners), ranking them by priority, and identifying which segments to deliberately exclude. - Own live partner conversations and move stalled deals forward by clarifying what Causa Prima is actually asking for and what partners need. - Build rigorous business cases before signing: volume reachable, addressable market share, revenue to Causa Prima, revenue to partner, cost to serve, and the overlap zone where both parties win. You reject partnerships that sound strategic but lose money. - Lead stakeholder management for each partner: map decision-makers, blockers, champions, and gaps. Run first calls, workshops, and commercial negotiations, always asking for concrete commitments. - Ensure signed partnerships become live and revenue-generating. Own enablement: partner sales training, integration scoping with engineering, instrumented metrics from day one, and review cadence that triggers hard conversations when performance slips. - Source new partner targets beyond the inbound list and open doors yourself. - Build the function using AI agents for partner research, account mapping, pipeline hygiene, and deal memos. If you do a task manually twice, you build the automation for the third time. - Shape the product roadmap by working closely with founders and engineering to scope integrations and translate partner needs into product requirements. Requirements: - 3–6 years of experience founding or rebuilding a Partnerships function, with at least one stretch taking a partner channel from zero to signed, live partners generating revenue. Background in enterprise software, fintech, or AI platforms required. - Proven enterprise partnerships experience (not SMB): you've worked with tech platforms, audit and advisory firms, or ERP ecosystems and landed logos through them. You understand what Big Four alliance teams need before engaging clients. - Ability to thrive under incomplete information: frame criteria, take a position, and defend it when challenged. You'll be tested on this during the trial day with real partner scenarios and numbers. - Commercial honesty: you can quantify partnerships, identify key assumptions, and see deals from both sides without pretending every tension is upside. - Genuine AI-native capability (hard requirement, not buzzword): you already run your pipeline, research, and partner materials with AI agents. You've built something in the last month that saved you a week. You'll be asked to demonstrate this. - Hands-on execution: you write deal memos, build models, and chase integration tickets yourself. Partner enablement cannot feel like someone else's job. - Fluent English. Spanish or German is a plus. Nice to have: - Office-of-the-CFO domain knowledge: accounts payable, supply chain finance, dynamic discounting, or treasury. Understanding of procure-to-pay cycles. - Existing network in the SAP ecosystem or at a Big Four alliance team. - Experience selling with or into a partner's product, not just alongside it.
