As a Partnership Manager, you will own a book of partners—similar to how an Account Executive manages a territory—and drive qualified introductions to brand decision-makers. This is a hunting role with real ownership: you source partners, carry your own quota, and forecast against it. You'll be one of the first Partnership Managers on the Ecosystem team, giving you the opportunity to shape how the function scales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building your partner book by identifying, evaluating, and signing partners with direct relationships to CFOs, CIOs, and CEOs at CPG brands, as well as institutions like banks, private equity firms, and advisory firms.
- Activating partners through onboarding, network mapping against target accounts, and driving rapid production.
- Generating qualified live introductions to decision-makers at ICP-fit brands that convert into scheduled first meetings.
- Managing your book like a sales pipeline with weekly reviews of producing partners, dormant relationships, and reactivation needs.
- Committing to introduction targets 30/60/90 days out and hitting them consistently.
- Supporting deals in cycle by activating partner backchannels and logging touches for accurate attribution.
- Partnering closely with sales to ensure clean handoffs and honest attribution.
- Collaborating with events operators on marketing activations that incentivize partner referrals.
Success is measured on two metrics: 80% credited pipeline from partner introductions (sourced plus influenced closed-won deals) and 20% producing partners (count of partners with at least one qualified intro in the trailing 90 days).
You should have a strong network in the consumer/CPG space or the ability to build one quickly, sharp judgment about people and businesses, a true sourcing mindset, experience carrying a quota in a metrics-driven environment, executive fluency with C-suite leaders, and understanding of how consumer brands grow. Nice-to-haves include existing relationships with growth equity or venture capital firms, relationships with senior leaders at consumer brands, and familiarity with retail finance or trade spend.
