Upgrade is seeking a Partner Integrations Lead for its Home Improvement product platform. In this role, you will own and drive key partner onboarding initiatives, shaping seamless API integrations across the entire loan application and origination lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for partners on the Home Improvement product platform, particularly all API integration points and business operations
- Manage integrations with new partners and new product rollouts for existing partners, including defining how partner platforms interact with Upgrade through loan application and origination processes
- Create documentation and project management deliverables to track ongoing integrations; troubleshoot with partners during QA/UAT and post-live phases
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure internal alignment and prioritization of partner integration projects and ongoing requests
- Lead technical response for production incidents related to Home Improvement integrations, coordinating internal and external teams
- Triage inbound defect reports by severity, reproduce issues in staging environments, and document root-cause hypotheses with supporting log evidence
You will translate complex technical requirements between external partners and internal engineering teams, serving as a self-motivated, technically minded professional who excels at collaboration with Sales, Product, Account Management, and Engineering.
Requirements:
- 6-7+ years of work experience
- BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience leading complex technical integrations with specific expertise in RESTful API architecture, JSON/XML payload structures, and OAuth/API key authentication patterns
- Subject matter expertise in Home Improvement or similar merchant financing space is ideal
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with persistence and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in startup culture with ability to earn trust
- Strong collaboration skills across all organizational levels and with external partners
- Expertise in project management across multiple departments in a flexible environment
