Ramp is building smart infrastructure for finance teams, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ companies. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and financial close processes.
The Partner Development Representative role is an entry point into Ramp's world-class sales organization. You will act as the initial point of contact for identifying and qualifying new partnership opportunities in the accounting sector. This is a hunter role focused on building Ramp's partner ecosystem through strategic outreach and relationship development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and sourcing new partner opportunities through inbound qualification and direct outreach to accounting firms and financial advisors
- Engaging and qualifying prospective partners via email, phone calls, social channels, conferences, and events
- Conducting primary and secondary research to understand service offerings, organizational structure, and key decision-makers to assess partnership fit
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Channel Partner Managers, Marketing, Operations, and Direct Sales teams to strategically grow Ramp's partner ecosystem
- Educating accounting leaders and firm stakeholders on Ramp's partnership program and value proposition
- Ideating new and unique ways to build and develop partner relationships
- Maintaining accurate partner relationship data in Salesforce
You will work in a high-agency, high-urgency environment where everyone owns problems end-to-end and makes consequential decisions. Ramp's median customer saves 5% on costs and grows revenue 16% in their first year.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent listening skills with energetic and professional presence on phone and video calls
- High comfort level with sales, prospecting, and both virtual and in-person engagement
- Dedication to tracking and improving performance and efficiency daily
- Deep interest in understanding specific business challenges across different verticals
- Entrepreneurial mindset: self-starter with high sense of urgency, ability to work within undefined processes, and determination to find solutions
Nice to haves:
- Background in client-facing and/or sales roles in business development, consulting, or investment banking
- Prior experience partnering with or selling to accounting firms and/or financial advisors
- Prior CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
- Experience at a high-growth startup
- Understanding of financial services
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university
