OpenAI's Order to Cash (OTC) team is seeking a senior, hands-on operator to own Order Management and Billing execution across OpenAI's cloud marketplace and partner ecosystem, including AWS, GCP, Oracle Cloud, GovCloud, and future channels.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end order-to-invoice lifecycle for an assigned cloud marketplace or partner portfolio. You will ensure that private offers, commercial terms, provisioning, pricing, usage, billing data, credits, settlements, and partner-specific reporting flow through systems accurately, on time, and with audit-ready controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning daily Order Management and Billing performance across order intake, usage ingestion, reconciliation, validation, invoicing, credits, settlements, exceptions, and partner reporting
- Implementing and continuously improving the common cloud marketplace operating model, including workflows, service levels, controls, and readiness standards
- Leading operational readiness and user acceptance testing for new or expanded cloud marketplace capabilities
- Serving as the Finance and OTC operational DRI for the assigned portfolio, resolving billing discrepancies and partner-impacting issues
- Executing and improving reconciliation, completeness, and exception-management processes
- Governing BPO execution through clear service levels, SOPs, enablement, quality controls, and performance monitoring
- Identifying and implementing process, system, and automation improvements to increase touchless processing
- Partnering with Revenue Systems, Product, Engineering, GTM, Legal, and Finance teams
- Owning month-end close execution and monitoring portfolio performance across key metrics
- Maintaining operating documentation and contributing to broader governance improvements
You should have 8+ years of progressive experience in Billing Operations, Order Management, partner billing, or cloud marketplace operations. Experience with usage-based billing, private offers, credits, invoicing, reconciliations, and settlements is valuable. You'll need hands-on experience with CPQ, ERP, and billing platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, Stripe, or Metronome. A demonstrated record of owning complex, cross-functional launches and the ability to influence stakeholders across Finance, Product, Engineering, and external partners is essential.
