As an Operations Specialist, you will be the backbone of Airspace's operations, managing the setup and execution of orders containing the most time-sensitive commodities. Your primary responsibilities include: **Operating the Airspace Platform:** - Set up new orders following standard work practices and client-specific SOPs - Rapidly prioritize and manage multiple critical tasks across the operations view - Verify driver pickups and confirm correct item handling - Accurately track flight departures using AWB tracking systems - Maintain adherence to process and communication standards - Stay current on system updates and process changes **Proactive Customer Updates:** - Provide timely delay notifications using customers' preferred communication channels - Anticipate potential issues (weather, traffic) and proactively offer alternative solutions to meet or exceed delivery deadlines **Intuitive Problem Solving:** - Update and manage airway bills using training and institutional knowledge - Source driver coverage for order segments as needed - Apply creative, out-of-the-box thinking to resolve common and uncommon operational issues - Follow escalation procedures and collaborate with senior team members This role offers direct customer interaction and the opportunity to make a tangible impact—your attention to detail can literally help save lives.
