Expert Insights is AlphaSense's transformative market intelligence offering, spanning the Expert Transcript Library and 1x1 Call Services. The Directed Content Team generates thousands of high-value calls quarterly, identifying and recruiting world-class experts to ensure comprehensive coverage.
As Operations Manager for Directed Content, you will report to the Senior Manager of Generated Content and oversee research pods responsible for delivering high-quality, relevant content. You will manage a diverse team of bilingual Analysts (including Mandarin speakers), motivate team performance, and ensure accountability against volume and coverage goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and develop a team of Directed Content Analysts organized by sector coverage in pods
- Set and track performance KPIs balancing output quality, relevance, and volume
- Guide professional development of Analysts under your supervision
- Partner with Project Managers and Sector Leads to adjust research focus and sourcing strategies
- Coordinate coverage territories based on evolving goals and team capacity
- Hire and onboard Analysts
- Work with leadership to define and update Directed Content coverage goals
- Partner with Enablement to design process documentation and knowledge resources
- Collaborate with Contributor Relations to optimize expert coverage
- Troubleshoot issues and devise process, systems, and workflow improvements
- Review and approve expert rates, maintaining average costs below $300 per call

Requirements:
- Proven experience managing teams of analysts or similar individual contributors
- Track record of setting and achieving performance KPIs
- Experience with professional development and coaching
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes and drive efficiency
- Data-driven approach with experience building dashboards and performance analysis
- Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
