Revolut is a global fintech super app serving 75+ million customers with products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel. The company is expanding rapidly and seeking an Operations Manager to lead banking operations in Japan.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing key financial products, features, operations, licenses, and growth opportunities for Revolut's Japan expansion. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Technology, Risk, and Finance teams, as well as global stakeholders, to analyze and define the Japan banking strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating business cases based on requirement definitions and driving execution plans
- Managing project prioritization and supporting banking license applications
- Defining playbooks and process execution frameworks to achieve hyper-growth in Japan
- Managing relationships with critical vendors and strategic partnerships
- Drafting internal regulations and circulars related to deposit and currency exchange operations
You'll need 5+ years of banking experience in Japan with deep knowledge of Japanese banking products and services. Required expertise includes experience with the Zengin System and Bank of Japan transaction management, as well as the ability to draft internal banking regulations. You must be comfortable breaking down complex problems, working with data, and communicating fluently in both English and Japanese at a business level.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience being seconded to the Japanese Bankers Association, data analysis skills (SQL, Excel), and prior involvement in corporate strategy planning with overseas offices.
