This Operations Manager role is based in the Branch team, which ensures regulatory compliance and delivers excellent customer service across Revolut's European expansion. You will serve as a key stakeholder for the branch operations, likely anchored in Hungary, while executing scale initiatives across multiple countries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a key stakeholder for the branch in Hungary
- Overseeing day-to-day first-line-of-defence functions including governance, regulator interactions, and business-as-usual operations
- Providing oversight and accountability for outsourced functions
- Executing scaled operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing) across Lithuania, London, and other global offices
- Monitoring country-specific risk incidents and conduct issues, liaising with service owners to ensure proper controls
This is a high-impact role that combines operational excellence with strategic problem-solving in a fast-growing fintech environment. You'll work at the intersection of compliance, risk management, and business expansion.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least a 2:1 degree from a top university
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally financial services or management consulting in the Hungarian market
- Fluency in Hungarian (required)
- Experience managing risk, compliance, and outsourcing operations
- Proven track record of taking ownership and leading complex projects end-to-end
- Ability to break complex problems into smaller, manageable components
- Natural curiosity and willingness to make an impact
Nice to have:
- Experience working with regulators
- Experience setting up a branch in Hungary
