Salary: USD 50,000 - 90,000 / annual

Locus Robotics is seeking an Onsite Support Engineer to serve as the primary technical owner of an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) fleet deployed at a customer warehouse facility in North East, Maryland. This is a full-time, onsite role (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM) where you will be the face of Locus at the customer site, responsible for ensuring peak operational performance of the robotic system. Key responsibilities include: proactively monitoring robot fleet health, system activity, and task execution to maximize uptime and stability; performing hands-on troubleshooting and repairs on robotic hardware and software systems; optimizing workflows to meet throughput targets and operational KPIs; conducting onsite testing and validation to support product development; analyzing operational data (throughput, units per hour, utilization rates) to generate actionable insights; and serving as the primary liaison between customer operations and Locus internal teams. You will also support the development of standard operating procedures and best practices for future deployments, provide structured feedback on system performance and edge cases, and assist in refining product capabilities based on real-world deployment experience. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field; 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, robotics, automation, or technical customer-facing roles; familiarity with warehouse workflows, labor management, and productivity metrics; hands-on troubleshooting experience or strong technical aptitude; strong analytical and data interpretation skills; ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; cross-functional collaboration skills; self-motivation and ownership mindset; willingness to work onsite daily and adapt to operational schedules; ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and frequently bend, stoop, and reach; and excellent English communication skills. This role combines technical problem-solving, operational optimization, and customer relationship management in an early-stage product deployment environment.
