Factory is building software development agents that help enterprise engineering teams ship code, review PRs, and deploy continuously. The company recently raised $150M Series C and is backed by top-tier investors including Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, and Blackstone.
You'll design and own Factory's onboarding program end-to-end, from offer acceptance through a new hire's first 30 days. This is a strategic and operational role that goes beyond running orientation decks. You'll partner with leadership to design systems, set metrics, and execute against them.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design scalable onboarding workflows (pre-boarding, first day, first week, first 30 days) that flex as the company scales
- Own the handoff from offer acceptance to first day: background checks, immigration, equipment, paperwork, and welcome communications
- Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive tasks like documentation, scheduling, FAQs, and progress tracking
- Define and track success metrics (new-hire satisfaction, manager feedback, retention signals) and report to leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with IT, Facilities, Payroll, HR Ops, and hiring managers to execute a seamless experience
- Work with department leaders to build role and team-specific onboarding tracks
- Continuously iterate based on data and feedback
You'll need 4+ years in onboarding, HR/People operations, or similar build-and-run people roles, ideally at a fast-growing startup. You're action-oriented, comfortable building systems while executing them, fluent with AI tools, and strong at project management and analytics. You communicate clearly, own outcomes, and have low ego with high ownership.
