Salary: USD 130,000 - 175,000 / annual
Arista Networks is seeking an accomplished Pre-Sales Network Systems Engineer to provide technical systems engineering support for the Financial Services and Trading vertical. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, leveraging deep expertise in mission-critical networks, routing, and switching.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as a trusted advisor to gather customer requirements and identify opportunities with existing and new accounts
- Own the pre- and post-sales technical relationship with assigned territory and customer base
- Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Arista technologies to support strategic customer enablement
- Facilitate technical training on Arista products, differentiators, solutions, and demos
- Engage with key partners to develop service delivery proficiencies around Arista solutions
- Execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) and on-site customer testing
- Conduct technical Quarterly Business Reviews with customer base
- Support on-site requirements at customer locations
- Respond to inbound customer questions, including research and lab testing of solutions
- Present technical content to organizations both virtually and in-person
- Create technical marketing materials for the global organization
- Travel approximately 10% of the time
You will report to the Regional Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with Product Management, Software Development, and the Arista TAC team. This role is critical to the Sales team and positions you to influence product development and strategic direction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of networking design and implementation experience with focus on Data Center, Campus, Wi-Fi, and Security solutions, specifically working with Financial Services customers
- Strong presentation and selling skills with ability to communicate complex technical material
- Solid understanding of building successful relationships between equipment manufacturers and customer stakeholders (executives, architects, engineers, operations teams)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, customer relations abilities, and problem management skills; ability to remain calm and professional under pressure with strict deadlines
- Experience creating technical materials (slides, white papers, battle cards, solution guides)
- Solid knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and services
- Desired: Experience with Network Overlay and Virtualization
- Desired: Network automation experience using Python and Ansible
- Desired: Network Industry Certification including Arista Cloud Engineer (ACE) level 3-5
Candidates must reside in the metro Chicago area.
