- Install, terminate, test, label, and maintain copper and fiber network cabling, patch panels, and physical infrastructure
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot RF data communications equipment, radio systems, antennas, and RF cabling
- Set up, operate, and tear down temporary field communications sites with network infrastructure, radios, portable antennas, IP cameras, and related equipment
- Integrate IP-based radio systems with Ethernet and fiber networks, troubleshooting across both network and RF portions
- Perform pre-deployment testing and validation of network, RF, and field communications equipment
- Troubleshoot complex communications issues across physical cabling, Ethernet networks, switching/routing, radio equipment, and RF paths
- Implement network changes and independently manage smaller networking projects
- Monitor network health and performance using monitoring and alerting solutions
- Maintain centralized network configuration management systems
- Develop and maintain network and RF documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management of equipment
The role requires willingness to perform hands-on work at temporary outdoor field sites in varying weather conditions, including moving equipment, erecting portable antenna systems, and installing equipment at varying heights.
