Forward Networks, founded in 2013 by Stanford Ph.D.s, has built the industry's first network digital twin—a mathematically accurate model of production networks that enables autonomous networking. The platform allows engineers and AI agents to understand the impact of every change before it touches production. Trusted by global leaders including Goldman Sachs, PayPal, S&P Global, IBM, and Dell, Forward has demonstrated an average of $14.2 million in annual benefits per customer (IDC). The company is backed by top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, and others, and is headquartered in Santa Clara.
The Network Engineer will join the Network team to perform extensive testing of routing protocols (BGP, MPLS, MP-BGP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, SR, etc.) across multiple vendor platforms (Juniper, Cisco, Arista, PaloAlto, Fortinet, and others). A key responsibility is teaching networking technologies and terminology to software developers who are building models for those technologies, bridging the gap between network domain expertise and software development.
