Reflection AI, a research lab focused on making intelligence open and accessible, is seeking a Member of Technical Staff - IT Engineer to lead operational and strategic IT initiatives with significant autonomy.
You will manage a broad range of responsibilities spanning tier 1 and tier 2 support, office infrastructure buildouts, process optimization, and IT security initiatives. This is an internal-customer-facing role supporting executives, engineers, and non-technical staff with daily IT needs and strategic projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day operational IT requests and providing white-glove support for executives
- Designing and implementing systems and processes to improve IT function efficiency
- Facilitating employee onboarding with a focus on rapid growth support
- Designing and deploying IT systems including MDM, SSO, and ticketing platforms
- Supporting IT Security initiatives such as hardware security key rollout and device posture attestation
- Managing SaaS platforms and vendor spend
- Leading office buildout projects, coordinating audio/visual, networking, and security equipment installation
You'll work in a talent-dense, mission-driven environment where you help define the company's future while contributing to open foundational AI models.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience with Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support
- Comfort in customer-facing roles supporting diverse audiences (executives, engineers, non-technical staff)
- Ability to navigate complex, non-trivial problems with minimal support
- Experience with both macOS and Windows devices (Linux a bonus)
- Expertise managing user provisioning through Rippling and Okta, including automating onboarding/offboarding flows
- Experience configuring and managing Okta as primary SSO IdP, integrating SaaS platforms with Okta SSO
- Familiarity with MDM solutions (Jamf, Kandji, or JumpCloud)
- Experience administering Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and Linear
- Strong technical depth with ability to communicate technical information clearly to various audiences
