Krea is building next-generation AI creative tools designed to empower human creativity. The company has raised over $83M from top-tier investors including a16z and Bain Capital, and recently launched Krea 2, their first foundation model built from scratch for aesthetic diversity and stylistic control.
As a Motion Designer, you'll be part of Krea Studio, working closely with the Creative Director to create launch videos, product demos, brand films, and social content. You'll take projects from concepts and storyboards through to final animation, serving as a key creative voice in how Krea communicates its products and vision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and animate content for product launches, feature announcements, and social channels
- Develop storyboards and style frames to establish project direction
- Use typography, graphics, and UI animation to explain product features and workflows
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop ideas and iterate on feedback
- Partner with the product team to understand new features and demonstrate them effectively
The role is based at Krea's waterfront office in San Francisco, with a team that includes musicians, designers, visual artists, and engineers. You'll have significant scope and company-wide impact.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record in motion design with a portfolio of completed projects (portfolio required)
- Strong eye for typography, composition, color, and visual hierarchy
- Strong animation fundamentals including timing, pacing, and transitions
- Experience developing concepts and storyboards, not just animating supplied designs
- Experience with product/UI animation or creative software launches
- Proficiency in After Effects or equivalent motion-design software
- Clear communication and comfort taking projects through feedback and revisions
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with 3D animation, compositing, or sound design
- Familiarity with AI creative tools and interest in using them in production
