Salary: USD 99,000 - 130,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Motion Designer to join its Design Team in Costa Mesa, California. The Design Team leads the company's brand identity, visual communication, film, concept art, and industrial design efforts.
In this role, you will shape and develop the kinetic visual language of the Anduril brand. You'll art direct and execute visual concepts across brand and technical narratives by leveraging both 2D and 3D elements. Your responsibilities include:
- Creating visual development of kinetic text, motion graphics, mission scenes, and animations using both 2D and 3D assets
- Steering the development of visualization techniques and styles
- Providing clear and constructive feedback during design critiques
- Contributing to daily design inspiration and team discussions
- Evolving and overseeing design explorations and style guides
- Staying current with industry-standard workflows, processes, and tools
- Partnering with producers, design leads, and departments including marketing and communications
You should have a minimum of 3 years of professional motion design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong familiarity with various animation techniques. You must have a deep understanding of design fundamentals (form, color, composition, typography) and technical fluency in both 2D and 3D software. The ideal candidate is an impeccable artist with outstanding knowledge of form and function, passionate about bringing narratives to life and pushing visualization techniques.
This is an on-site position in Costa Mesa, CA. You must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
