Scale AI is seeking a Mission Product Specialist to drive product strategy for Thunderforge's ModSim and planning-tool integrations serving major U.S. military commands including PACOM, EUCOM, and NORTHCOM. This role bridges joint military planning expertise with product strategy and technical execution.
Key responsibilities include owning product strategy for ModSim and planning-tool integrations, leveraging Joint Planning Process (JPP) expertise to inform roadmap prioritization. You will propose process and product improvements based on planner workflows, adoption metrics, and direct feedback from strategic military partners. You'll partner closely with product and engineering teams to define observability and telemetry frameworks, ensuring the tool chain evolves to meet planner needs across commands.
You will represent the needs of PACOM, EUCOM, NORTHCOM, and other strategic partners through proactive stakeholder communication and meticulous execution. Working with product and engineering, you'll identify integration and reliability gaps that inform strategic priorities. The role includes hands-on technical support: troubleshooting and maintaining ModSim and data-integration environments, triaging incidents, and contributing to postmortems and status visibility.
This is a full-time position requiring deep JPP credibility, strategic product judgment, understanding of planner workflows, and sufficient ModSim/technical fluency to support the build and troubleshoot issues. You'll operate at the intersection of military planning requirements and product development, staying grounded in both strategic vision and technical reality.
