Saronic Technologies is seeking a Mission Operations Specialist to lead and coordinate the Mission Operations team in delivering autonomous surface vessel (ASV) programs and projects. This role bridges internal engineering teams and external DoD stakeholders, managing project timelines, budgets, and team performance while ensuring mission success. Key responsibilities include: **Team Leadership & Project Management:** Drive one or more product-supporting programs toward defined goals (e.g., R&D for the Corsair platform). Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to define objectives and deliverables. Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, implement corrective measures, and foster a collaborative team environment with guidance and career development coaching. **Mission Planning & Execution:** Work with DoD customers and internal teams to develop comprehensive mission plans considering route optimization, environmental conditions, and risk mitigation. Operate ASV systems during missions, monitor vessel performance and sensor data in real time, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain situational awareness of maritime environments. **Data Analysis & Reporting:** Collect, analyze, and interpret mission data to derive actionable insights. Generate comprehensive mission reports with findings and recommendations. Provide feedback to engineering teams for continuous ASV capability improvement. **Training & Compliance:** Conduct training for DoD personnel on ASV operation, mission planning, and maintenance. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, DoD policies, and industry standards. Implement safety protocols and procedures. The role requires demonstrated success in project coordination and leadership, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and proven problem-solving capabilities. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, maritime studies, or equivalent experience. Maritime operations experience with autonomous/unmanned systems, proficiency in mission planning software and GIS tools, and prior SOF/DoD experience are valued. Physical demands include ability to swim and tread water, lift up to 75 lbs., operate in marine environments (sun, wind, rain, cold, saltwater) for extended periods, and work up to 12 hours per day in daylight, low-light, and night conditions. Some travel required.
