Havoc AI is seeking a Mission Operations Specialist to orchestrate the deployment and operation of its autonomous systems platforms in support of customer missions. Based in North Kingstown, RI, this role bridges operations, customer success, and product development for a defense technology company specializing in all-domain collaborative autonomy across sea, air, and land.
You will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of deployments for HavocAI's Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) platforms, HavocControl software, and HavocCloud products. This includes collaborating with engineering, logistics, and technical operations teams to ensure systems are field-ready, training end users for effective adoption, monitoring performance during operations, and coordinating rapid issue resolution.
The role is deeply customer-facing. You will build trusted partnerships with defense and commercial customers, understand their missions and constraints, support immediate operational needs, and identify future opportunities for HavocAI technology. You'll serve as a key point of contact during deployments and engagements, articulating the company's value proposition to operators and senior leadership alike.
A critical aspect of this position is translating real-world operational insights into product improvements. You will work closely with Product, GTM, and Engineering teams to shape HavocAI's offerings to meet defense and national security requirements. You'll translate customer workflows, concepts of operations, and field feedback into actionable product insights and advocate for customer needs in prioritization discussions.
You will coordinate across nearly every HavocAI team—business development, engineering, finance, legal, contracting, and technical operations—ensuring stakeholders remain aligned and engaged throughout deployments. This requires developing a deep understanding of what it takes to successfully deliver complex hardware and software systems to defense customers.
Required: U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. security clearance; willingness to travel up to 50% for field deployments and customer engagements; relocation to North Kingstown, RI; experience leading or supporting operational deployments of complex technical systems; strong customer-facing communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred: maritime operations, unmanned systems, defense technology, or mission-critical field operations experience; military or government operational background; familiarity with fielding, training, or sustaining hardware/software systems in operational environments; ability to translate operational needs into product or engineering requirements.
