Salary: USD 120,000 - 150,000 / annual

Quince is a direct-to-consumer (DTC) retailer operating on a manufacturer-to-consumer (M2C) model, eliminating traditional retail layers to deliver high-quality essentials at radically affordable prices. The company spans apparel, accessories, home goods, and more, serving tens of millions of repeat customers globally. The Merchandising Manager, Diamonds role owns the end-to-end strategy and execution for the Diamonds product category, a critical emerging category for Quince's jewelry business. This is a high-impact position where the individual will drive category growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction independently while potentially managing 0–2 direct reports (Analysts or Assistant Merchants). Key Responsibilities: - Own all end-to-end merchandising for Diamonds: category strategy, assortment planning, product launches, and performance tracking - Influence long-term category planning while delivering near-term results independently - Redefine quality standards for diamonds used in jewelry across the business - Partner closely with Product Development and Sourcing teams to align quality, costs, and vendor execution - Leverage data analytics (sales velocity, margin, return rates, ratings, reviews) to drive decision-making and identify quality improvement opportunities - Maintain competitive market intelligence and identify white-space opportunities in the assortment - Onboard best-in-class vendors to expand the supplier base and scale the Quince model - Continuously refine the product roadmap based on new market learnings and customer insights - May manage direct reports (Analysts or Assistant Merchants) The role requires a product-obsessed merchant with a critical eye for both the science and art of retail merchandising, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Requirements: - 5–7 years of retail merchandising experience in the Jewelry category with expertise in Diamonds; luxury retail experience preferred - 1–2 years of people management experience - E-commerce and/or DTC experience preferred - Proven track record of career progression and continuous growth in roles and responsibilities - Strong data analysis skills and experience leveraging data tools and external sources - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with focus on execution and process improvement - Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Continuous learner, curious, and proactive in adapting to new challenges - Bachelor's degree preferred - Based in San Francisco, CA with 3 days per week in-office requirement
