Stuut is transforming accounts receivable for B2B companies by automating collections processes historically handled manually. The platform serves finance teams across industrials, chemicals, and manufacturing sectors, from Fortune 10 companies to scaling midmarket businesses. The company is backed by top-tier investors including a16z, Khosla, Activant, 1984 Ventures, Page One, and Microsoft.
As a Member of Technical Staff – Full Stack, Credit, you will build Stuut's next generation of credit products, including trade credit, receivables financing, payment plans, and related financial workflows. This is a high-ownership product engineering role focused on working close to underlying financial data where correctness is critical.
Key responsibilities include building and owning core systems powering credit and financing products; developing reliable exposure, balance, eligibility, and limit calculations across complex financial data; designing deterministic policy and decision systems that make credit outcomes explainable and auditable; and modeling financial state across invoices, payments, credits, disputes, orders, and related events.
You will build systems that safely handle delayed, duplicated, missing, or conflicting upstream data, create controls for reconciliation and failure recovery, integrate external credit data and internal behavioral signals into decision workflows, and partner closely with product, data, and operations teams to translate customer workflows into scalable product behavior.
Ideal candidates have experience building credit, lending, payments, accounting, or other financial systems where correctness and controls matter. You should understand reconciliation, idempotency, audit trails, data provenance, and failure recovery. Strong systems design judgment, ability to trace financial results to their source, and high proficiency in Python are essential. Experience with Postgres, Snowflake, AWS, and DBOS is valued. You thrive in high-growth startups where engineers work end-to-end on problems.
