You'll join as a Member of Technical Staff with 4–10 years of engineering experience, bringing strong backend and infrastructure skills (Python, Go, TypeScript, etc.) and deep interest in agentic AI. The role requires high ownership: you'll set direction, drive outcomes, and stay hands-on while leading. You'll build direct partnerships with leading AI labs and enterprises, contributing to frontier model quality through data, evaluation, and systems work.
Key responsibilities include building scalable systems, working with core ML/LLM concepts (post-training, evaluation metrics, reward modeling) at a depth that allows you to partner with researchers, leading in ambiguous fast-moving environments with sound technical judgment, coaching engineers, and driving execution. You should have proven ability to coach engineers and a strong ownership mindset with pragmatic decision-making.
The ideal candidate has been a founding engineer, founded their own company, or had major impact at a top-tier company. You thrive in ambiguity, love hard problems, appreciate diverse perspectives, and are excited about building in-person five days a week from their One World Trade office in NYC.
