Salary: CAD 132,000 - 198,000 / annual
Join Nutanix as a Member of Technical Staff 3 to design and develop the next generation of the Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) data platform. You will work on an end-to-end telemetry platform that includes telemetry data collection via agents and a big data pipeline serving customers across on-premises and cloud environments.
Your responsibilities include:
- Design and develop next-generation Data Platform features for on-prem and cloud deployments
- Participate in data modeling discussions and influence the data products roadmap to ensure optimal solutions
- Work across all components of a big data platform including API gateway, message bus, databases, and database abstraction layers
- Propose and drive adoption of best practices for operationalizing data platforms
- Design and implement data engineering work by authoring jobs via Apache Spark
The NCM data platform team consists of 12 engineers spread across India and the US, operating in a hybrid environment that prioritizes fast deliverables while maintaining cross-geo collaboration. You will have autonomy and ownership in a fast-paced environment, learning from experienced mentors.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid role based in Vancouver. Employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration and team alignment.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of professional experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with one or more of: Python, Scala, Java, Golang, C++
- Experience with database technologies and workload optimization
- Experience with Big Data technologies, Kubernetes ecosystem, and microservice patterns
- Understanding of and working experience with SaaS technology development best practices
