Avelios Medical is building a modular software platform that digitizes and optimizes hospital workflows, enabling clinicians to provide better patient care. The company is venture-backed and growing rapidly.
As Medical Product Manager, you will bridge clinical expertise, product management, and engineering to ensure the platform reflects real hospital workflows and is medically sound. You will translate complex clinical processes into clear, buildable product requirements and drive medical topics from initial concept through delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own medical components end-to-end: discovery, requirements conceptualization, specification, prioritization, development, testing, and delivery
- Analyze clinical workflows with hospital partners to identify needs and inefficiencies, translating them into structured product requirements
- Write clear specifications with acceptance criteria and validate implemented features against clinical requirements
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of medical terminology, data sets, clinical logic, and workflows across the platform
- Collaborate with internal teams (physicians, nurses in product roles, PMs, designers, engineers) and clinical partners to validate concepts, incorporate feedback, and shape roadmap decisions from a medical perspective
You will work in a multidisciplinary environment with hands-on hospital experience, actively engaging with clinical staff on-site to continuously improve the platform.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical degree (Approbation) and 2+ years of hands-on clinical experience, preferably across different clinical settings or hospitals
- Genuine interest in healthcare digitalization and software products; ideally experience with hospital information systems, digitalization initiatives, or product management
- Structured and analytical thinking: ability to translate complex clinical requirements into precise, understandable specifications for non-clinical colleagues
- Strong sense of ownership and hands-on, solution-oriented mindset in fast-paced environment; comfortable working across disciplines
- High affinity for technology and emerging developments (e.g., AI); ideally experience trying out or building own things. Knowledge of agile methods and tools (Jira, Figma, AI-supported product development) beneficial but not required
- Fluency in German and English; clear verbal and written communication; comfortable with direct customer/user engagement including occasional on-site visits
