Salary: USD 125,000 - 201,250 / annual
Johnson & Johnson's Shockwave Medical division is hiring a Medical Education Manager to develop and execute medical education and physician relations activities. This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role with global responsibility across all lines of therapy, reporting to the Senior Director of Professional Education.
You will lead efforts to educate and train healthcare professionals on Shockwave Medical therapies, with a focus on intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) for treating complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, plan, and execute Shockwave Medical-managed HCP (healthcare professional) programs, identifying educational needs and creating programs that meet customer and business objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and allied healthcare
- Design educational objectives and curricula for both CME and non-CME accredited content
- Oversee execution of symposia (virtual and in-conference), including agenda design, content development, and physician speaker coaching
- Facilitate preparation of course curriculum, presentation materials, and speaker coaching for podium presentations
- Contribute to speaker bureau operations, speaker slide deck development, and compliance/approval processes
- Partner with meeting planners on logistical coordination
- Advise field organization on HCP learning needs and develop educational solutions
- Partner with medical societies and fellowship programs
- Maintain current knowledge of therapies, scientific literature, and products
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and contribute to needs assessment processes
- Ensure compliance with Shockwave Medical HCP education procedures and guidelines
The position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S. Travel up to 40% is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in education, training, sales, or marketing in the med-tech space
- Prior experience in the cardiovascular space highly preferred
- Highly organized with strong project management skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
- Excellent critical thinking, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Ability to operate in cross-functional teams and independently with adaptability to changing requirements
- Demonstrated decision-making ability and responsibility
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills at all management levels
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Previous experience with CVENT and/or Salesforce is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 40%
