Neko Health is redefining preventative care through data-driven, non-invasive clinical assessments delivered in under an hour. The company combines proprietary technology with direct clinical care to provide personalized, actionable health insights before symptoms appear.
As Medical Director for the Miami & DC region, you will own the clinical bar across all Neko clinics in your area, ensuring every consultation meets the same threshold of safety, quality, and member experience. You will partner closely with the U.S. Head of Clinical Enablement (who holds final clinical authority) and operate in a true dyad partnership with the Area Manager, who owns the operational side.
Key responsibilities include:
- Holding clinical standards consistently across every site in your region
- Managing and developing clinicians: performance conversations, development plans, coaching, and honest feedback
- Ensuring lead clinicians perform excellently and clinical escalation pathways are appropriate
- Leading clinical hiring against defined criteria and partnering with Training & Education to close gaps
- Owning review and closure of clinical incidents and near-misses, ensuring learnings are applied
- Operating in true dyad partnership with the Area Manager on quality, member experience, and business goals
- Rounding sites regularly to observe, support, and surface what's working and what needs addressing
- Building trusted relationships with specialist clinicians who receive Neko referrals
- Understanding local regulatory landscape (licensing, referral obligations, market-specific clinical rules)
- Leading or participating in clinical pilots, defining success and documenting outcomes
You should be a clinical leader who sets clear standards and coaches to them without micromanaging. You take clinician development seriously, give honest feedback, and know when coaching is needed versus when someone needs to leave. You bring clinical judgment into operational decisions before they're made and stay constructive when clinical standards and operational targets diverge. You read patterns in data and round sites to notice things dashboards miss. You're a credible clinician with trusted relationships in the local medical community.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MD, DO, NP, or PA with active Florida and DC license in good standing
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or equivalent)
- 4+ years of medical leadership experience, including direct management of clinicians
- Demonstrated experience holding clinical standards across multiple sites or a large clinical team
PREFERRED:
- Experience in preventive care, tech-enabled healthcare, or longitudinal care models
- Experience operating in a clinical-operational dyad structure
- Experience leading clinical pilots or scaling new clinical workflows across multiple sites
